Our videography workshop leader David Diley has chosen the winner for this competition round!
Huge congratulations to Jurrien Wiss for his video 'The beautiful reefs near Marsa Nakari' which has won him a free stay at the RSDS village of his choice!
The standard was again very high and during this period we received a lot of entries which made the judging very hard. Here are David’s comments about the winning video:
This has a much more cinematic look to it which is actually really nice and there’s some lovely shots in it with a good edit. I would maybe trim it down a little and only put your absolute best stuff in there and if here’s one thing I can suggest to improve it further, avoid speeding shots up. You have a lovely cinematic look which is lost when the footage is sped up. Overall this is really nice.
